Tonight on Quantico 2015, we find out what happens when a sleeper agent slips through the cracks and makes it into training camp for the FBI. Quantico season 1 is the newest drama to hit ABC and I have been waiting weeks to find out what Quantico 2015 has in store for us. Keep reading my Quantico season 1 recap to find out what happened tonight on the series premiere! The series premiere of Quantico 2015 started off with a look at the aftermath of an explosion and then a rewind in time to nine months prior to the explosion. We then get a look at all of the agents-in-training before they became new recruits at Quantico and as they all arrive at Quantico for their FBI training.
Throughout the course of the show, we jump back and forth between the day of the explosion and their time in FBI training school. During their training, they are told to pick a file with a fellow trainees picture on it and they are told to read the file and then try and figure out a piece of information about them that has been redacted from their file.
After the explosion, Alex Parrish, played by Priyanka Chopra, is found at the blast site by FBI agents and brought to a safe place. She is then asked how well she knows the people pictured on a board, the people pictured are all her fellow agents-in-training. She is then told that one of them is a terrorist and they need her help figuring out which one it is. At the time of the explosion, she has lived with them for six months and she knows quite a bit about each of them, but can she help figure out which one of them set off the explosion?
We then get the details of the days of training that led up to the explosion from Alex’s point of view. Throughout her story to the agent, we get tips about what their story is and what piece of information may have been redacted from their files. However, we don’t get all the information needed to figure it out. When they get into class the day after, we get some of their stories.
Shelby’s parents were killed on 9-11 and she carries a piece of the plane they were on with her. Eric goes nuts in the interview room because Caleb made him think that he knew this horrific secret about him. Eric has a gun pointed at Caleb and the door to the interview room is locked. Eric tells Caleb that he can’t tell everyone his secret and then says “I didn’t think she would have died” and then shoots himself in the head.
Meanwhile, Alex is telling the agent all of this and he gets a note from a fellow agent that says “keep stalling” and he crumples it up and attempts to throw it out in the garbage but it lands on the floor. Alex sees what it says and she seems to get a little nervous about this. We later find out that this is because they found Alex’s gun and it had recently been fired, three times. They have agents heading to her apartment and that’s why he was told to stall and they find Ryan Booth, dead in her apartment.
A little later in the show, we find out that Eric got a 14 year old pregnant when he was overseas and brought her to get an illegal abortion. The abortion killed her and then we find out that they missed that fact about him when he was screened. We also find out that Caleb is only there because his parents are both agents, he almost failed his entrance exams and his parents pulled strings to get him in the program.
After an assembly about Eric’s suicide, Caleb is then taken out of the program as well. We then find out that Nimah has a twin and they are swapping places after Simon asks her if he can make her a cup of coffee to makeup for walking into her room and seeing her without her hijab on.
Later, Alex goes to her instructor to tell him that she lied in her interview. She told them that her mother shot her father, but Alex is really the one who shot and killed her father and then we find out that her father was a special agent as well and that’s why she is at Quantico. She asks him to look into her father for him and he says he will but he can’t promise that she is going to like what he finds.
We end the episode finding out that the instructor is the one that got Booth to come on to her and got him to choose her file during the assignment for class. Alex is arrested for Booth’s murder and when she is put in the van to be transported to prison, Miranda Shaw, the director, is driving the van and tells Alex that she needs to find out who is trying to frame her for this using all of her skills that she has learned in the program. Miranda then helps her escape! Come back to find out what happens next week on Quantico season 1!
