Google has just announced that will make available high-speed public Wi-Fi in 400 train station in India. The announcement marks the visit of the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the search giant’s headquarters in the United States.
The CEO of the american giant announced this via a dedicated blog post. One hundred of India’s rail stations will go online by the end of next year, giving access to free high-speed internet to over 10 million people that pass though them daily.
Tto make its project a reality, Google will team up with Indian Railways and RailTel.
