Titled Greatest Hits: Decade #1, the LP will include a mixture of old and new material by the 31-year-old country music superstar.

Carrie Underwood, Greatest Hits Decade #1
“I can’t believe it’s been a decade since I auditioned for American Idol,” said Underwood.
“Looking back at the songs I’ve released over the years lets me relive my amazing journey [and] even better, I get to include new music for the fans!”
The lead single from the album, ‘Something in the Water’, is the first new release from the singer since her 2012 smash Blown Away.

Produced by her longtime collaborator Mark Bright, Underwood wrote the track with Chris DeStefano and Brett James, and describes it as “joyous”.
“[It] is so inspirational,” she added. “I can’t help but smile when I hear it.
“I hope it has the same effect on everyone who listens to it.”
Underwood will take to the stage tomorrow (September 27) as part of the Global Citizen Festival in New York’s Central Park. Other performers in the lineup include Jay Z, No Doubt, fun., The Roots and Tiësto.
Greatest Hits: Decade #1 will be available from December 8.
