American Idol 2014 Top 7 elimination sends Dexter Roberts home ...

American Idol 2014 had a not so shocking results during its Top 7 elimination Thursday night, April 17.

On Maundy Thursday (Good Friday in MLA), one 'American Idol' Season 13 finalist has been sent home, and it's a male contestant - Dexter Roberts.

It's hard to see a contestant go home during 'American Idol' eliminations, but last night's elimination wasn't that hard, far not as hard as Malaya Watson's surprising elimination last week.

Dexter's a great singer, but I've been finding him kinda boring in his recent performances.

Before being voted off, Dexter was joined first by Jessica Meuse in the Bottom 2, a first for Jessica and already the 2nd time for Dexter.

Declared safe were Jena Irene, Alex Preston, Caleb Johnson, CJ Harris

and Sam Woolf.

The Top 6 has 4 males and 2 females, 2 of them are just wild card contenders (Jena and C.J.), 2 have never made it to the bottom list (Caleb and Alex) and 1 was voted off the other week but got saved by the judges (Sam).

Next week, who will get the boot? I think C.J. is the one goin' home. (I think that's what most 'Idol' viewers are hoping as well.)
