Kelly Clarkson won’t be performing for the rest of 2015.
A statement on the American Idol alum’s official website has announced that Clarkson, who is currently expecting her second child with husband Brandon Blackstock, will be canceling the remaining shows on her Piece by Piece Tour. According to the posting, Clarkson “must remain on vocal rest for the remainder of the year” per her doctor’s instructions.
Affected tour dates include ones in Canada and the UK. Clarkson’s website claims all tickets will be refunded at the original point of purchase.
“I am truly sorry that I have to cancel the remainder of my tour dates. I was so looking forward to sharing this tour with all my amazing fans in Canada and the UK,” Clarkson says in a statement. “Unfortunately my doctor is telling me I have to stay on vocal rest, but I am working hard to get better as fast as possible.”
Clarkson previously canceled six stops on the United States leg of her tour citing vocal strain.
“So bummed that I have to cancel some of my tour dates,” she said at the time. “This kills me, but doctors are saying I need to rest my voice! I can’t wait to get healthy and see y’all back on the road soon.”
Oh well, we’ll just have to settle for all her awesome covers.
