The Golden God. A lion with a tadpole in a jar. The Hammer of the Gods. There are no shortage of sobriquets that have been used to describe the man, but none more direct than Led Zeppelin’s Robert Plant. The legendary singer brought his excellent band The Sensational Space Shifters to a sold out Riviera Theater and proceeded to give a tutorial of American blues and folk music along with Zeppelin classics interspersed throughout. Many jaws were scooped up off the floor. And the evening was given an assist by the New York quartet The Last Internationale who performed songs from their debut We Will Reign.
