Here’s your News 92FM Weekend Preview!


At seven this evening at the Wortham, the Brilliant Lecture Series presents “A Conversation with Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein: from Nixon to Obama”.


Also tonight, the opening of TUTS Underground’s staging of “Reefer Madness”, a musical comedy inspired by the 1936 anti-pot propaganda film. At the Hobby Center through October 5th.


Friday through Sunday at Jones Hall, Houston Symphony brings you “TV’S Greatest Hits; Themes and Anthems from Your Favorite Shows of the Last 50 Years”, featuring Nicole Parker from MadTV and “Wicked”.


Theater Under the Stars’ presentation of “Victor/Victoria” runs through Sunday at the Hobby Center.


American idol winner Fantasia is at the Arena Yheater Friday evening.


Saturday, gather up your gang and head to the Galveston Island Shrimp Festival in the historic Strand District. Look for News 92FM and say hello!


Saturday at Market Square Park downtown, a free movie under the stars. “The Big Chill” starts at 7:30.


Sunday, the Dynamo host the Chicago Fire while the Texans host the Buffalo Bills.
