No seriously, I need these two to get a spin-off because their adorableness during this past month or so of American Idol has been KILLING me! I am obsessed with their chemistry and all of their cute interactions. Whenever talking about Idol with my Boo I call it the Nicki and Keith show because they are both superstars, the top (or damn close to) of their separate genres and have really dynamic personalities, which might seem total opposites, but they go together so amazingly and they just make my week. Keith with his calling everyone 'baby' and Nicki making up nicknames, amazing!
Especially tonight with Nicki telling Keith to get out of her head because they were sharing the same thoughts of the performances. I was practically dying from the cuteness. After all of the drama about Minaj vs Carey it's good to see that Nicki can get along with another judge and she and Keith seem to genuinely enjoy each other's company.
I think it would be amazing for them to do a collaboration! It would be the first of its kind! I can easily imagine one of Keith's pop/country songs with Nicki doing a verse or so. I mean she has done a collab with practically everybody else in the industry at this point. Why not Keith?
They are good to help me deal with Mariah. I have never been much of a Mimi fan - what is that balloon squeal vocal run she does, it just sounds as bad as nails on a chalkboard to me. I think she is acting really immature and she seriously needs to get her hands out of her hair for five seconds! She rubs me the wrong way, she's over-doing the diva personality and trying too hard and embarrassing herself.
At this point I'm happy for her to leave so it can be just Keith and Nicki. Well, I guess they'd have to keep Randy so it would be more than two people agreeing with each other on everything. Yeah, I'm happy for Randy to say, but I wouldn't be sorry if Mariah pulled a Britney and decided to pull out to pursue her music. I would not shed a single tear
Okay so Americal Idol is a singing competition, not a personality competition between the judges. But none of the contestants have really grabbed me yet. I loved Kree's voice, she is very powerful and I think one to watch. I liked the girl who sang Born This Way, but she didn't get through, so I'll stick with just Kree at the moment. I think it will get down to the nitty-gritty, the good stuff when it gets to the live performances and hopefully someone else will grab my attention. In the meantime I'm happy just watching it for Keithy and Nicki
And yeah, that's an update of my TV viewing...
P.S - I just completed my second week of my course. Two down weeks, two to go, WOO-HOO! I'm very excited to get my three day weekend to relax and catch up on my writing. So it's all good for me right now :)
